My Worship Time                                                                            Focus:  PT-2 Intro to Jude 4-7

Bible Reading & Meditation                                                             Reference:  Jude 4-7

Message of the verses:  4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. 5 Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.”

I have been writing about some of the things that Satan did to really mess up this world that we live in, and yet, despite Satan’s apparent victories, his days are numbered.  God Himself promises that the truth will ultimately prevail.  Let us now look at 2 Thessalonians 2:5-17 to shed some light on this:  “5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. 13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. 14 It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.  16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, 17  comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.”  There is a lot packed into these verses from 2 Thessalonians, as we can see Paul first talks again about the rapture, and then he writes about the Antichrist who will be the ruler of the one world government that will take place during the Tribulation period.  During this time there will be an un-holy trinity made up of Satan, Antichrist, and the false prophet who will rule the world for the last half of the tribulation period made up of three and a half years.  Satan will have his day in the sun so to speak, but at the end all three will be cast into hell, giving them what they deserve.  Now after this is over Christ will rule the world for 1000 years, and then at the end of that 1000 years Satan will be let out and come to earth to deceive the people and there will be a short war, and then all who are with him will be cast into eternal flames, and then Christ’s eternal kingdom will begin which will last forever and ever.  Now let me make one more point here and that is that before His eternal kingdom begins there will be what’s call a “Great White Throne Judgment,” and all unbelievers will be there from the time that man was created until the end of the Millennial Kingdom.  All will have a chance to speak, but all will be guilty and then all will be cast into hell, for up unto that time the only one in hell would have been Satan, as the rest would have been in what the Bible calls Abram’s bosom, as Christ talks about this place in Luke 16:22 where we read “"Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abrahams bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried.”  Christ told this story in Luke’s gospel and that is where all of the dead were before Christ died on the cross, for after that all who were believers went to heaven, and all unbelievers stayed there awaiting their judgment which I just mentioned will be at the “Great White Throne Judgment.”  Now after that judgment the earth and all the planets and stars will be burned up and then there will be a new heaven and a new earth and a New Jerusalem where the redeemed will spend eternity.

Ok it looks like I will have to finish this section in the next SD, as it seemed to me that perhaps someone needs to read what I just wrote, I hope so.
