SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 4/3/2016 9:06 PM
My Worship Time Focus:
Question #2-Defilement
Bible Reading &
Meditation Reference: Haggai 2:13
Message of the verses: 13 Then Haggai said, "If one who is
unclean from a corpse touches any of these, will the latter become
unclean?" And the priests answered, "It will become unclean."”
Sunday’s
are a time when I like to go to Sunday school, then morning church service and
then have lunch with my wife and her father who is 98 years old. Then we come home and rest a bit and then go
back to evening service, so my Spiritual Diaries are done after evening church
and on Sundays they are short, as this one will be. We will look at this question and then answer
it and then in our next SD we will look at the application.
The
question is if a person touches a dead person and then they touch another
person will that other person be unclean too.
The answer is that that person will be unclean. Haggai’s point is that you can transmit
defilement from one person to another, but you cannot transmit sanctity. Now look at it this way: If you have the flue and you touch another
person or cough in their face that person will probably catch the flue
too. You can transmit the flue or a cold
to another person, but because that person is healthy does not mean that that
person can transmit his health to you.
As mentioned we will look at the application in our next SD.
