The Time (Matt. 25:31b)

SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 3/24/2024 7:50 AM

My Worship Time                                                                                             Focus:  “The Time”

Bible Reading & Meditation                                                 Reference:  Matthew 25:31b

Message of the verse:  “comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him.”

We have been talking about judgment, and the time for judgment will happen after Christ returns to planet earth bringing his angels and also the raptured church with Him.  We don’t know the time but we do know that if God says this will happen that it will happen.  Now I have written about this subject when studying different prophetic books of the Bible like Revelation, Daniel and it is also in Joel and I suppose many other prophetic books of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments.

I believe that His judgment will happen as soon as He puts His foot down on the Mount of Olives, as it will split and make a large valley which will go for miles.  Now we have looked a parables while going through this 25th chapter of Matthew and the parable about the virgins where five did not bring oil and five did shows that the five who did got into the wedding feast and the five who did not were shut out, showing judgment came very fast.

Now I have studied both the books of Daniel and Revelation and in the 19th chapter of Revelation we can see the return of Jesus Christ with His angels and raptured saints.  The tribulation is 7 years long, seven three hundred and sixty days long which makes the last half 1260 days the same as the first half, but the second half will be by far the worst time in human history.  In the 12th chapter of Daniel he writes the following “11 “From the time that

the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 “How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days! 13 “But as for you, go your way to the end; then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age.’”  My understanding is that the extra days will be used to judge the sheep and the goats, with the goats going into punishment, and the sheep into the Millennial Kingdom.  I believe that the other days will be used for Christ to redo the planet into something similar to what it was when He created it so that people will live much longer during the Millennial Kingdom.

All this work will be done with the help of the angels and the saints who came back with the Lord, as there will actually be judgment throughout the Millennial Kingdom.  Paul talks about angels judging in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 “5 This is a plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which indeed you are suffering. 6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7  and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, 8  dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Matthew 24:29-31 speaks of this also “29  "But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 “And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31 "And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.”

MacArthur concludes “The Lord will come not only with His angels but with His saints.  ‘When Christ, who is our life, is revealed,’ Paul assured the Colossians believers, ‘then you also will be revealed with Him in glory’ (Col. 3:4).  The Old Testament saints, the saints of the church who will have died, the saints who will have been raptured, and the saints who will have been martyred during the Tribulation will all accompany Christ and join the saints still living on earth when He descends to earth to establish His millennial kingdom.”  Can’t wait for that day!
