PT-6 Coronation of the King (Zech. 6:15)

SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 7/3/2016 9:58 PM

My Worship Time                                                                  Focus:  PT-6 Coronation of the King

Bible Reading & Meditation                                                 Reference:  Zechariah 6:15

Message of the verses:  “15 “Those who are far off will come and build the temple of the LORD." Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And it will take place if you completely obey the LORD your God.”

We are looking at “The Condition” in this SD.  “And it will take place if you completely obey the LORD your God.”  What is he saying in this portion of verse 15?  MacArthur writes that “What He is saying is that your participation in the kingdom is dependent on you.  The fulfillment of the kingdom is gonna happen because God has so planned it.  But whether or not you’re a participant of it or not is gonna be dependent upon whether you obeyed His voice.  Not, it is true that the kingdom cannot come until God judges and God saves Israel.  But listen, that’s God’s plan to carry out.  What He’s saying here is, this is going to come to pass for you if you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.  Not all will.  Did you know that when Christ comes…and it says all Israel shall be saved…do you know that doesn’t mean every single Jew; it just means the nation in general.  Why?  Because Ezekiel 20:28 says even then there will be Jews who will rebel and God will purge out the rebels.  You see, the kingdom will come and God will bring it to pass but only the obedient will enjoy it.”

This portion of this SD concludes the sixth chapter of the book of Zachariah and in our next SD from the book of Zachariah we will look at it from some of the comments that Dr. Warren Wiersbe will have for us.  I hope all will be looking forward to it, I know I am.
