PT-1 “Their Sphere” (2 Peter 2:1a)

EVENING SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 11/17/2025 8:45 PM

My Worship Time                                                                                        Focus: PT-1 “Their Sphere”

Bible Reading & Meditation                                                                 Reference: (2 Peter 2:1-a)

Message of the verses: “But false prophets arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you,”

Let me begin by saying that God (the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are in control of this earth, and have always been in control of planet earth.  I have written in earlier Spiritual Diaries that before time began that God was in heaven and everything was perfect.  Now why would God decide to create angels, and man, and create the earth and surrounding universe?  For me to say that I know the answer to that question would not be true, but for me to give my theory on why God did it I can do that.  To answer that question one would have to look at, in my belief, the attributes of God.  The following is a list that I found on the internet, and I have to say that this may not be all of God’s attributes that are listed in the Word of God, but I will go with these just to make my point:

A comprehensive list of God's attributes:

  • Aseity/Self-Existent: God exists by Himself and has no beginning or end.
  • Goodness: God's nature is inherently good and benevolent.
  • Grace: God's undeserved favor and help given to humanity.
  • Holiness: God is morally perfect, pure, and set apart from all evil.
  • Immanence: God is fully present and active within the world.
  • Immutability: God is unchangeable and never alters his character.
  • Infinity: God is without measure and limitless.
  • Incomparable: God is without equal or rival.
  • Justice: God is fair and righteous in all his judgments.
  • Love: God is love, showing compassionate care for creation.
  • Mercy: God shows kindness and forgiveness, especially to those who are undeserving.
  • Omnipotence: God is all-powerful, with unlimited power.
  • Omnipresence: God is present everywhere at all times.
  • Omniscience: God is all-knowing, having complete knowledge of all things.
  • Righteousness: God is just and fair in all his actions and decisions.
  • Sovereignty: God has supreme authority and power over all things.
  • Transcendence: God is beyond human comprehension and all limitations.
  • Truth: God is the absolute essence of truth and cannot lie.
  • Wisdom: God possesses perfect judgment and insight.

Now for you to understand what my theory is as to why God created the angels and mankind one has to look at this list of attributes above and ask the question “If God only existed in heaven which one of these attributes would he use?”  Now whether or not He would use all of them is not what I am talking about, my question is how many would He use when the triune God was on heaven and nothing else was created?  I hope you are getting where I am going with this for it is the reason, at least one of the reasons is that God created all that He created, and nothing that has been created has been here before God created all of it.  One of my favorite verses in the Word of God as I think about creation comes from Genesis.  Gen. 1:16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.So don’t worry where all that you see when you look into the sky or even use the most powerful telescopes all you see was created by God.

Now once you realize that God created everything seen, along with angels and mankind then you can understand that all of His attributes are being used by the Lord, whereas as mentioned not all of them were in use when God was in heaven all by Himself, (The Triune God) that is.

This is a short answer to a very large question, but this is the way that I understand it.  Take a look at the list and ask yourself which of these attributes God would use before creation.  Now remember that God has always had all of these attributes, and probably more than I listed, but think about this and see what it is that you come up with.

I will not get to looking at our verse this evening, but I hope this SD will be helpful to those who read it.
